We're having an amazing National Travel and Tourism Week! This weekend, we kicked things off at the Governor's Fishing Opener with Governor Tony Evers and Secretary Anne Sayers in beautiful Rice Lake! 🎣✨ On Monday, we traveled back in time at the Wisconsin Logging Museum in Eau Claire, with its charming 1890s logging camp and then explored Pattison State Park, home to Big Manitou Falls—Wisconsin's tallest waterfall! 🌊⛰️ Shoutout to Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) celebrating 125 years of Wisconsin State Parks! Tuesday took us to the Museum of Wisconsin Art in West Bend and La Clare Creamery, where baby goat snuggles are a must! And we made a stop at Nine Mile County Forest in Wausau, with over 30 miles of trails for skiing, biking, hiking and horseback riding! Here's to celebrating travel's essential role in powering economies, supporting communities and strengthening connections across Wisconsin! 🌟🌿 #NTTW25 #TravelWI #Toursim #WisconsinStateParks

  • With the muddy boot dust settled, we're reflecting on what a great time we had at the International Trails Summit earlier this month! We were so excited to welcome the almost 900 people who came to Wisconsin to learn about all things trails. We loved hearing what visitors to Wisconsin had to say about our state and were excited to share so many great projects going on, through field trips, hands-on demos, sessions and more Wisconsin-specific programming. At our Wisconsin recreation user group meetings, we had about 100 participants from across the state sharing challenges and successes around Nordic skiing, mountain biking, managing volunteers on hiking trails, trail networks, snowmobiling and National Scenic Trails. Wisconsin really shined throughout the Summit, and we are grateful to all those who helped to plan the event, present at a session, volunteer to help things run smoothly and attend to build knowledge and make new connections. Thank you!
